Recruitment of Global Talent at the Institute for Stem Cell and Regeneration, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISCR-CAS )/ Beijing Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (BISCRM)

We are seeking global talent in:

(1) Basic Research Areas, including Stem Cells and Regeneration, Reproduction and Developmental Biology, Aging Research;

(2) Frontiers of Biotechnology and Bioengineering, including Genome Editing, RNA Imaging, Advanced Bioinformatics, 3D Bio-printing, Biomedical Materials, Biofabrication to lead a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of research associates, post-doctoral scientists and PhD students to conduct cutting-edge research and develop new therapeutic approaches for unmet medical needs through early-stage translational research.

Qualifications

1. Leading Scientists (tenure PI)

1) Shall have prestigious academic background and international influence, and be eligible as a tenured associate professor or above at well-known universities or research institutions;

2) Shall commit to full-time work once being employed by ISCR-CAS/BISCR.

2. Young Scientists (tenure-track PI)

1) Shall have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree;

2) Shall hold an outstanding research record that demonstrates strong academic potential;

3) Shall promise to fulfil a six-year probationary period for full-time work once being employed by ISCR-CAS/BISCR.

3. Postdoctoral Fellows 

1) Shall have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree,or expecting such degrees to be awarded soon;

2) With sound publication record or competitive research performance during the PhD study or within three years after completion of PhD;

3) In-depth knowledge of, and hands-on experimental techniques in relevant fields;

4) Well-trained in academic communication and scientific/technical writing;

5) Strong interest in scientific research, with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.


About Us

The Institute for Stem Cell and Regeneration, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ISCR-CAS) integrates scientific teams and high-level research platforms under CAS and actively explores new models of intra- and international collaboration, to promote stem cell R&D and industrialization. To accelerate clinical translation, the ISCR-CAS focuses on pushing the frontiers of the following six R&D areas: 1) Aging and associated diseases; 2) Innovative biotechnologies; 3) Biotherapeutics; 4) Reproductive health; 5) Stem cell medicine; and 6) Organ engineering. Stemmed from the success of ISCR-CAS, Beijing Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine (BISCRM) was founded in 2020 as a joint strategic innovation initiative of CAS and the Beijing Municipal Government. BISCR conducts original research targeting unmet national needs, while pushing the frontiers in stem cell and regenerative medicine. BISCR integrates wide-ranging competencies and resources to establish world-leading platforms and attract global talent and research teams. With strong support from both CAS and the Beijing local government, BISCR PIs continue to achieve major scientific breakthroughs in various exciting fields.
